I have been doing this project for so many years that it has become an "oldie but a goodie." We learn about a number of concepts while working on this design; abstraction, radial symmetry, lettering, warm and cool colors, complementary colors, and how to use the ancient, but handy, carbon paper. The results are worth the effort every year, which is evident in the smiles and excitement when students finish their designs!
