It's June - time for Stickit Sculptures!

This is one of my favorite sculpting materials for kids; they are called Stickits or Magic Nuudles, and they are goof proof! Just dab the end with a damp sponge, and push to attach two pieces. I order them from an online art catalog, because they are tough to find in stores.   For a more inexpensive version, head to your local office supply store, and pick up a bag of biodegradable packing peanuts.  Realistic or abstract, these sculptures are fantastic!

The Art Room is moving!

I have been very busy in the past few weeks, weeding out, organizing, and packing up everything in my room; I am heading for the primary wing.  I have been in this former band room for about 8 years, and am sad to be moving into a regular classroom, as there is much less space - but I will be very organized in the fall!  There is something to be said for a fresh start...
