Mustache Mania!

Who are these mystery men with large fuzzy mustaches?

Salvador Dali, of course!  2nd graders began this project with a discussion of facial features and proportion, and lots of drawing practice. We then explored the fascinating artwork of Dali, and discovered that he is just as interesting as his artwork!  After his portrait was complete, we used symmetry to create a magnificent mustache worthy of Dali, who fashioned quite a few unique mustaches for himself!
